eTakeoff Fully Integrated with BB-Bid

LAFAYETTE, CO, August 20, 2007 - eTakeoff, LLC announced today that the eTakeoff Plan Viewer is now fully integrated with The Blue Book's BB-Bid Planroom. Users of BB-Bid can now use eTakeoff to seamlessly view plans provided by BB-Bid.

This new functionality results in easier and more accurate bidding for everyone who uses the BB-Bid Private Online Plan Room. The integration allows users to:

  • Set eTakeoff as their default plan viewer
  • View ALL project plans directly in eTakeoff
  • Save your viewed plans as an eTakeoff Project
  • Take measurements directly from electronic plans

Multiple drawings can be selected for viewing. The user can then switch from drawing to drawing without returning to the web browser to select each drawing.

All versions of the eTakeoff Plan Viewer are fully integrated with BB-Bid. The Basic version is available free of charge. It allows viewing and printing drawings, organizing drawings in projects and measuring but measurements can't be saved. It also allows full review of information created with more advanced versions. The Pro version adds the ability to save measurements and annotations, display them in various colors, list the measurements and easily transfer them to other applications. The Premier version adds the ability to organize measurements and annotations in layers, calculate quantities based on multiple measurements and compare drawing versions.

LAFAYETTE, CO, July 10, 2007 - eTakeoff, LLC announced today that it has released the latest version of its professional electronic takeoff tool, eTakeoff Pro. Pro enables the vast majority of commercial contractors to afford professional takeoff. Pro is expressly designed to be easy, accurate and affordable. Contractors are now able to perform powerful takeoff functions in a fraction of the time normally spent with paper plans.

Pro is positioned in price and functionality between eTakeoff's two existing viewers, Basic and Premier (formerly called Advanced). Basic is a free viewer that allows viewing and printing drawings, organizing drawings in projects and measuring, however measurements can't be saved. Pro adds the ability to save measurements and annotations, display them in various colors, list the measurements and easily transfer them to other applications, such as Excel ®. Premier adds drawing comparison, layer management and spreadsheet-like calculations that can combine multiple measurements and organize them by item.

Many commercial contractors are just starting to use electronic plans to bid their work. As with all new technology, the benefits can be enormous, however the transition is often challenging and time consuming. eTakeoff understands this challenge and has created their new Pro product specifically to provide major benefits while minimizing the learning requirements.
