Zooming and Scrolling
eTakeoff uses many of the powerful zooming and scrolling features as the eTakeoff Plan Viewer:
Zooming with the Mouse Wheel
Just put the mouse over a point on the drawing
then roll the mouse wheel forward to zoom in, back to zoom out.
Scrolling with the Mouse Buttons
To scroll, just press both the left and right mouse buttons,
then drag the drawing left/right or up/down.
No need to use the scroll bars.
Filename Mapping
Filename mappings convert minimal user input into a drawing filename,
drawing description and a sub-folder within the project folder.
The mappings use Excel-like formulas complete with prompting.
Components of the formulas are color coded for easy readability.
The Drawing List Window
As files are selected for conversion, they are added to the Drawing List
Window. This list can be sorted by any of the columns to determine
the conversion sequence.
After conversion, the drawing list can be used to review the converted files.
The Floating Conversion Window
During the naming process, the conversion window floats above
the main window displaying the drawing. The user zooms and scrolls the
main window to display the title block then enters the name, etc. As
the user moves from drawing to drawing, the zoom and scroll is re-used so that
the next title block is usually displayed without any further adjustment.
